Aliki Archaeological Site is found on the Aliki peninsular which is in the south east corner of
Thassos island. It’ll take you around 45 minutes in the car to make the 30km journey.
The Archaeological Site in Aliki is a historical site dating back over 2000 years. There’s actually 2 parts one just above ruins beach and the other further up the hill side which offers spectacular views out over the Aegean sea.
The Archaeological Site of Aliki is made up of several old buildings, a number of pillars and some stone carvings too.
Also in the area are the ancient marble quarries which you can walk round at the same time, we’d recommend a good pair of shoes for walking round the area as the paths can be a bit tricky in flip flops or sandals and it’ll take you a little while to see it all so bring some water too.
Aliki beach is another attraction in the area and definitely worth spending some time enjoying the bay if you make the trip to the archaeological site in
Aliki.
