Argassi

Argassi is a narrow beach separated into a few sections by rock formations. There’s also the remains of an old bridge that dates back to 1805, today it’s ruined and just three arches are left. You can’t go on the bridge but it makes a good backdrop for photos.

Banana

Banana beach is over 500m long before it merges into Ionio beach, it's also up to 80m deep in places so it's a huge expanse of gorgeous soft sand that's perfect for families with youngsters who want to play in the sand, build castles or dig holes.

Bouka

Bouka beach has plenty of sand, shallow waters, and no organized watersports to interrupt your sunbathing, this tranquil, unspoiled cove is perfect for swimmers, families with children, and anybody else after a restful day, just watch out for the rocks.

Dafni

Dafni beach is on the south coast of the Vasilikos peninsula down in the south east of Zakynthos island. There's a steep and rocky road to navigate on your way to the beach but if you’re looking for a remote place to relax, you couldn’t do much better.

Spiliotissa Monastery

Spiliotissa Monastery was built in the 16th century and surrounded by pine forests and olive groves. It's devoted to “Our Lady of the Cave,” so called for its close proximity to a cave near the village of Orthonies where an icon of the Virgin Mary was discovered.

Turtle Rescue Centre

The turtle rescue centre is in the Vasilikos peninsula on the south east corner of Zakynthos, founded in 1991, the turtle rescue and information centre is a place dedicated to the protection of the turtles that nest on the beaches in the area.

Water Village

Water Village is a water park just east of Zakynthos town in the village of Sarakinado. It features a number of slides, from racing slides to ring slides, a dedicated kids and babies area as well as a lazy river and much more, it's perfect for all the family.

Bohali Venetian Castle

Bohali Venetian Castle is located in the hills above Zakynthos Town, inside you’ll see the remains of prisons, churches, and other buildings, unfortunately there’s not a huge amount left as the majority of the castle was destroyed by the 1953 earthquake.

Byzantine Art Museum

The Byzantine Art Museum, also known as Zakynthos Museum is found at the north western end of Solomos square in Zakynthos Town. The exhibitions include several artefacts from around the island plus a model of Zakynthos town before the earthquake.

Cameo Island

Cameo Island is a tiny island off the south coast of Zakynthos. It's just 100m east to west and around 60m from north to south. Due to it’s small size there’s not a great deal to see or do, there is a small beach as well as a taverna with great views of the coastline.
