Rachoni

Rachoni is perched on the side of the mountain up in the north west of Thassos. It’s not a developed tourist village but a tranquil place to take in the surroundings. If you’re visiting Rachoni be sure to head to the central square for a drink or some lunch.

Agios Georgios

The village of Agios Georgios is nestled in the trees up on the hill side to the north west of Thassos, it's a very small village with no hotels so it's not somewhere you can base your holiday but it is a lovely place for a short visit to get away from the crowds.

Alyki

There isn’t much to Alyki as it’s really just a couple of beaches a trio of tavernas on the main beach, a mini market and a few places to stay including some old stone houses between the two beaches that are available to rent. There’s no village centre as such.

Astrida

Astrida, sometimes also known as Astris is an area of unspoiled natural beauty with gently sloping hills and rocky scenery nestled among olive groves towards the south of Thassos island. There's not much in the way of tourist facilities but that's one of it's charms.

Kallirachi

Kallirachi is on the west side of Thassos, it's a quiet village that has narrow cobbled streets and beautiful houses built from Thassos stone with terracotta roofs. The village has a tranquil, relaxed environment which makes it a lovely place to visit.

Kazaviti

Kazaviti is a beautiful village set on the mountain slopes of Thassos island, As it’s up in the mountains it offers spectacular views of the island and the Aegean sea, just watch out for those winding roads that lead up to the village, particularly at night.

Kinira

Kinira is a small, charming village on the east coast, it's a quiet region that people visit for it’s natural beauty and tranquillity but it still has everything the tourist needs including supermarkets, tavernas, restaurants, a good selection of hotels and apartments.

Limenaria

Limenaria is the second largest town in Thassos and a popular spot for holiday makers along with neighbouring village Kalivia. As it’s one of the more popular resorts you’ll find a good selection of hotels and a good range of shops, tavernas and restaurants too.

Limenas

Limenas is the capital and largest town on Thassos and is often referred to as Thassos Town. It's home to the main port on the island and links to Keramoti port on the mainland. It has everything you need including plenty of hotels and restaurants.

Maries

Maries is a traditional mountain side village close to the centre of Thassos. Maries is a delightful little village to visit, it's somewhere you enjoy the natural beauty of the area. There are a few trails to walk round to make the most of the surroundings.
