Kos - Which Greek Island

Tigaki

Tigaki is a tourist resort on the north coast of Kos about 11km from Kos town, it's based around the fantastic and huge Tigaki Beach as well as the central road that leads down to the beach and has everything you need with restaurants, shops, car hire and more.

Zia

Zia is a small picturesque village up in the mountains near Asfendiou in Kos. It's filled with restaurants, many of which have balconies that give spectacular views and for that reason they get extremely busy at sunset throughout summer time.

Antimachia

Antimachia is a lovely village that lies 23 kilometers south west of Kos town. It’s an ancient settlement and retains all of it’s character and charm. In the village you’ll find Milos tou Papa, which is a traditional windmill, nearby is the Antimachia Venetian Castle too.

Asfendiou

Asfendiou is a small picturesque village on the slopes of Mount Dikaion. It's probably not somewhere to base your holiday but worth a visit as the lush vegetation, natural springs and stone houses make this a beautiful area.

Markos

Markos beach is sandy and quite large with just a couple of rows of sun loungers, a snack hut and a taverna set back from the beach. There's no water sports but kids can play in the sand or shallows so it's great for families.

Kamari

Kamari beach is a small pebble and sand beach towards the south west of the island just 2km from Kefalos. There's a small shop at the back of the beach and a couple of tavernas too. There are sun beds to rent but no water sports or other facilities.

Kardamena

Kardamena beach is at the southern end of Kardamena town on the south coast of Kos. It’s a large sandy beach which gets very popular, mainly with the younger crowd that are looking to party in the evening and recover on the beach in the day.

Kefalos

Kefalos beach is a long and narrow beach on the south east of Kos. Kefalos beach runs from Kamari beach in the south to Agios Stefanos beach in the north. The beach is mainly sandy with some shingle. It’s popular but due to it’s length it doesn’t feel crowded.

Kos Town

The main beach of Kos town is actually a continuation of Lambi beach as it heads south and approaches the harbour. There are tons of sunbeds available to hire, tavernas for refreshments, water sports and even beach parties in the evenings.

Lagada

Lagada is one of the south coast beaches and neighbours both Paradise beach and Markos beach. It’s often referred to as banana beach but it’s signposted as Lagada. There’s minimal facilities but you can walk to other beaches if needed.
